Inheriting a Legacy of Faith
In 1997 a local Bethlehem family, fueled by a dream, purchased a block of land. Their vision was for the land to be used for a kingdom purpose that would thrive alongside the wider context of Bethlehem College.
Over the unfolding years it became clear to them that the site was to be used for a Church facility. The Church they saw was one with a global vision for revival and transformation...A Five Fold Church with a heart for both this nation and the nations, that would be very intentional about equipping people for a wide variety of ministry expressions.
As years passed many significant and specific words confirmed to them that God had marked the land for a particular purpose.
On one occasion, during a time of prayer in an adjacent building, a man declared that he saw a large autotorium on the site. On another occasion, a prophetic man drove by and felt the Holy Spirit show him that there would be a well of revival right there on the land.
In 2013, the owner of the land approached Hope Centre saying, "I have waited a long time to make an offer." He then offered us the site at a price significantly below its market value. Nearly two years after this offer, on August 20, 2015, Kristen asked this same man if Hope Centre was beginning to look like what he had seen at the beginning. This was his response:
"This Church, Hope Centre, is the Church that I saw and dreamed of when we purchased this land all those years ago."
"Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful." 1 Corinthians 4:2
